Harley-Davidson began as partnership between sportsmen Walter Davidson, his brothers Arthur and William and their friend, William Harley. They designed and built motorcycles with improved features that rivaled other motorcycles. They engineered winning race motorcycles with improved specifications.

Harley most rare

Article Abstract:

Harley-Davidson began racing motorcycles in 1914 and introduced a production-based eight valve racing engine in 1916. Harley disbanded its racing team in 1922, and very few of the eight valves still exist.
