Heart rate variability during exercise performed below and above ventilatory threshold

Article Abstract:

The fact whether differences in heart rate variability (HRV) can distinguish the sub-from supra-ventilatory-threshold exercise and whether the exercise duration at supra-threshold intensity alters cardiorespiratory synchronization is examined. Results show that HRV allows to differentiate sub-from supra-ventilatory-threshold exercise and also exercise duration at supra-threshold intensity does not alter the cardiorespiratory synchronization.

Effect of exercise intensity on relationship between VO(sub 2max) and cardiac output

Article Abstract:

The maximal oxygen uptake VO (sub 2max) is studied to determine whether the uptake is attained with the same central and peripheral factors according to the exercise intensity. The results reveal that VO (sub 2max) was not attained with the same central and peripheral factors in exhaustive exercises and tlim delta 50 did not elicit the maximal cardiac output.
