A meta-analysis of perceived locus of causality in exercise, sport, and physical education contexts

Article Abstract:

A meta-analysis of 21 articles on sports, exercise, and physical education has revealed three main research foci: the instruments to determine the locus of causality, examination of its construct validity and its integration with Nicholls' concepts of task and ego. A further study showed a relation between competence and intentions, revealing the theories of behavioral intentions.
