Role ambiguity in sport teams

Article Abstract:

Role ambiguity refers to the lack of clear and consistent information regarding the expectations associated with one's position and which occurs in two contexts, offense and defense. Examining the nature and exploring the construct validity of the operational definition of role ambiguity in sport teams are the main themes focused.

The effect of role ambiguity on competitive state anxiety

Article Abstract:

Relationship between role ambiguity and precompetition state anxiety (A-state), based on the conceptual model, is examined. Role ambiguity in sport is operationalized as a multidimensional construct, and potentially manifested in each of two contexts, offense and defense.

The relationship between task cohesion and competitive state anxiety

Article Abstract:

The study examines whether in group dynamics, the association between athlete perceptions of task cohesiveness and the degree to which perceptions of the intensity of precompetition anxiety symptoms (cognitive and somatic), are facilitative or debilitative.
