Ingestion of casein and whey proteins result in muscle anabolism after resistance exercise

Article Abstract:

The acute response of muscle protein balance to ingestion of two different intact proteins after resistance exercise is discussed. The acute ingestion of both whey proteins (WH) and casein (CS) after exercise resulted in similar increases in muscle protein net balance, resulting in net muscle protein synthesis despite different patterns of blood amino acid responses.

Gait-related risk factors for exercise-related lower-leg pain during shod running

Article Abstract:

The gait-related risk factors for exercise-related lower-leg pain (ERLLP) during shod running in a young physically active population are examined. The results suggest that altered gait biomechanics during shod running play an important role in the genesis of ERLLP and therefore, should be considered in prevention and rehabilitation of this pathology.

Increased VLDL-TAG turnover during and after acute moderate-intensity exercise

Article Abstract:

Breakdown rates of very low-density lipoprotein triacylglycerols (VLDL-TAG) were quantified before, during and after moderate physical exercise in four young females and males. It was observed that VLDL-TAG turnover was increased during exercise and early phase of recovery.
