Thomas T. Perls, M.D. and Margery Silver, Ed.D. have conducted research into healthy aging by studying America's centenarians. Results from the New England Centenarian Study suggest that family connections are crucial to longevity, as are avoidance of toxic waste, keeping busy and coming from a long-lived family.
