Loehr's laws for learning from pros

Article Abstract:

Tennis and yoga both require tremendous control skills. Tennis champions and yogis thus share six mental factors. Called Loehr's Laws in tennis, these factors include a genuine love for the sport, toughness, wise use of between-point time and control of emotions.

Tennis players may attempt strategies such as pretending fatigue or stalling for time between points. Using psychological ploys may work in reverse since they can destroy confidence and concentration. Players who focus on their own play are more successful.

A player's momentum must be consistently maintained in order to ensure a victory. It is important for one to control his emotions and be focused on the game. Further, premature celebrations, anxiety of losing momentum and temper loss must be avoided.
