Magnesium, zinc, and copper status in women involved in different sports

Article Abstract:

Serum levels and urinary excretion of magnesium, zinc, and copper do not seem to be related either to their intake by female athletes or to the sports type performed. Other factors such as bioavailability, intestinal absorption mechanisms, muscle-level modifications and nutritional status might account for the differences between different groups of female athletes.
