Native Americans and musicians to the rescue!

Article Abstract:

A concert tour is being organized to call attention to Native American history and stop the killing of bison that wander out of Yellowstone National Park. Ranchers have traditionally killed the buffalo to prevent the spread of brucellosis, which some say causes spontaneous abortion in cattle. Native Americans want the excess bison taken to reservations in the Great Plains.

Wind, erosion, and a location for sand to settle cause sand dunes to form. The Killpecker Dunes in Wyoming stretch over 170 square miles. Other dunes that hikers may wish to visit include Great Sand Dunes, CO; White Sands, NM; and Indiana Dunes, IN.

Volunteer recruits can pay between $900 and $2,000 to assist scientists in helping the environment. The US Forest Service and the National Park Service work with YES to do research. The Yellowstone Project is discussed, and an address is provided.
