Oklahoma's Chickasaw: western prairie meets eastern forest in the land of healing

Article Abstract:

The Chickasaw National Recreation Area has several mineral springs that have special significance for the Chickasaw Native Americans. The area has 16 miles of trails, and is a popular spot for boating, hiking and swimming. Resident wildlife includes armadillos and bobcats.
