Access action: Montana's innovative program to keep land open

Article Abstract:

Hunters, outfitters and landowners in Montana were able to agree on legislation that benefitted them and get it passed. The Block Management Program as it is known allows hunters more access to land, gives additional funds to landowners and restricts the number of new outfitters.

Article Abstract:

Proposition 200, introduced in Arizona in 1992, would have banned all outdoor sports and wildlife conservation efforts. Voters rejected the proposition almost two to one in the Nov 1992 election. Campaign efforts of conservationists and outdoorsmen are described.

Children and the animal rights agenda

Article Abstract:

Many animal right groups are using misleading messages to brainwash schoolchildren and use them as a political weapon against hunting and fishing. These groups include the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and the Animal Liberation Front.
