RACING REPORT

Article Abstract:

Ronaldo da Costa set a world record at the Berlin Marathon, finishing in 2:06:05. In the women's division, Marleen Renders beat her own record with a finish of 2:25:22. There were 27,000 participants, up 4,000 from last year. Records were also set at the 20-K New Haven Road Race in both men's and women's categories. Statistics for several other races are included.

Lynn Jennings

Article Abstract:

Jennings' win in the 1991 World Cross-Country Championships was her second consecutive in the event. She also won the 10,000-meter race at the Penn Relays and set a world record for 8 kilometers in the Nike Women's 8-K.
