Running through grief

Article Abstract:

Three separate essays regarding how coping with the loss of a loved one was made easier by the simple act of running, are presented. The three essays are bound together by the theme that running can have a therapeutic affect in dealing with the pain surrounding the loss of a mother, child and spouse.

Three for the road: for the author and here friends, running is more than just exercise

A behavioral science teacher and her two friends have run together each morning since 1981. Over the past 12 years they have discussed friends, children, significant others and work. She believes men also talk about such topics when they run together but on a more superficial level.
