Self-efficacy, imagery use, and adherence to rehabilitation by injured athletes

Article Abstract:

The factorial validity of the Athletic Injury Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (AISEQ) and the predictive relationships among self-efficacy, imagery use, and rehabilitation adherence is evaluated. The evaluation showed that athletes were higher in task efficacy than coping efficacy, used more cognitive and motivational imagery than healing imagery and athletes rated their frequency and duration of exercise performance higher than their quality of exercise performance.

Effects of lower extremity fatigue on indices of balance

Article Abstract:

The effects of lower extremity muscle fatigue on parameters of postural balance are explored and the efficacy of a standardized lower extremity fatigue model is assessed. It is hypothesized that a generalized model of muscle fatigue would affect the control of the fatigued musculature and the performance of balance tasks.

Parallel reliability of lumbar-flexion measurements

Article Abstract:

An attempt was made to describe and evaluate the parallel reliability of 2 methods of measuring lumbar flexion-perpendicular stick markers (SM) and the distanciometer (DM) using an electrogoniometer (EGM) as reference. The results showed high parallel reliability when comparing the DM and SM with EGM measures.
