Professor Brian Luke through his essay entitled 'Violent Love: Hunting, Heterosexuality, and the Erotics of Men's Predation' has set himself the task of demonstrating the way in which 'hunting by North American white men is structured and experienced as a sexual activity'. His comment about hunting, which he terms as an essentially romantic undertaking about 'power/domination' over a 'love object', has caused a lot of resentment among the hunters.
