High levels of fibrinogen in the blood collects blood platelets and contributes to arterial plaque and the production of blood clots. Research indicates that people with heart disease and high levels of fibrinogen have a higher death rate than counterparts with low levels of fibrinogen.

Article Abstract:

The first step to beginning a resistance training programs is to select a place, such as a gym, that will encourage regular workouts. Taking a class or working with a personal trainer is also recommended. Workouts should be challenging, not painful. Additional advice is provided.
