Swimmin' in the rain

Article Abstract:

The Santa Barbara Masters group continues to work out and train in an outdoor pool even during rainy conditions. Swimmers are expected by coach Brandon Seider to show up for their drills even when there is a heavy downpour, strong winds and dropping temperatures. Despite these conditions, swimmers still enjoy their routines because of the unique experience and get the added benefit of logging in greater mileage to avoid getting cold.

Getting back on your feet: fallen out of the exercise habit? Don't sweat it. Restoring strength is easier than you think

Article Abstract:

Regaining strength lost due to slacking off exercising takes a shorter time to regain since on the average most people lose muscle strength at half the rate they gain it. When starting to exercise again, people should begin slowly to avoid discouragement and possible injury.
