The effects of 2 different custom-molded corrective orthotics on plantar pressure

Article Abstract:

A study to investigate the effect of rear-foot- and forefoot-posted (PAL) and mediolongitudinal arch-supported (SOLE) orthotics on plantar pressure during walking was conducted. The results revealed that the SOLE orthotic appeared to be more effective in attaining the goal of custom-molded-orthotic intervention than PAL.

Shoe inserts and orthotics for sport and physical activities

Article Abstract:

Shoe inserts and orthotics for the athlete should enhance athletic performance while reducing muscle activity.
