The hills are alive

Article Abstract:

A personal narrative is presented describing a ski journalist's experience of skiing in Europe for the first time, in the Arlberg ski area in Austria. He finds that the European ski experience is a combination of eating and drinking too much in surrounds steeped in history, discovering breathtaking scenery, and looking for an uncrowded slope.
