The once and present Stowe

Stowe is a small town that features Mount Mansfield, which is the highest peak in Vermont at 4,393 feet. The mountain has four intimidating trails dubbed the 'Front Four.' Stowe has added a new gondola and snowmaking that enhances the skiing experience.

A skier describes an outing in the eastern Sierra Nevada with ski guide Allan Bard. The snow was unskiable on the first day. Table Mountain provided some good skiing on the following day, but the snow eventually became too soft.
