The apotheosis of carve

Article Abstract:

Lennon's 'Quick Carve' method for learning snowboarding uses ski poles and a handheld device called 'The Glider.' Both devices prevent snowboarders from falling over particularly during deep turns. A novice snowboarder describes his success with the 'Quick Carve' method.

An American Alp: a new tram turns Big Sky, Montana, into one of the most exciting ski mountains in the nation

Article Abstract:

The new, but small tram added to Big Sky, MT, ski area, adds 1,200 acres of terrain and gives it the distinction of having the longest vertical descent in the US. The expert-level runs at the top of Lone Mountain are some of the best in US and rival European mountains.
