The timing of fluid intake during an Olympic distance triathlon

Article Abstract:

The influence of two fluid ingestion regiments is compared during a simulated cycling segment of an Olympic distance triathlon on running performance. It is concluded that consumption of fluids earlier in the cycle phase of the Olympic distance triathlon benefits the run and overall performance time.

Aerobic exercise alters postprandial lipemia in African American versus White women

Article Abstract:

A study on American and African American women regarding the influences of ethnicity on postprandial lipemia after a bout of aerobic exercise is conducted. Results show that African American women have a greater potential to dispose off triacylglycerol (TAG) after a high-fat meal and exercise.

Accuracy of three Dry-Chemistry methods for Lipid profiling and risk factor classification

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to determine the accuracy in lipids measurement and risk factor classification using three dry-chemistry analyzers. The results from this analysis, for total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C) and triglycerides (TG) of fasting athletes are presented.
