The transition buck

The right time to hunt a whitetail buck is in a sudden cold front i.e. in the month of October. It is during this period, bucks increase their activities rubbing and scraping in earnest as they begin an increasingly urgent search for receptive does.

Going to ground blinds

The advantages of bowhunting whitetail deer from a ground blind rather than in a tree stand are described. Hunting from a ground blind can offer a better position to shoot the deer as well as being safer and more mobile.
