We paint a boat: is cosmetic surgery a do-it-yourself job?

Article Abstract:

A boatowner can save more than $6,000 by painting a 23-foot boat rather than hiring a professional. Stripping the bottom paint, sanding and spraying with a two-part polyurethane paint are described. A brushable paint system is recommended for the do-it-yourselfer.
