Consensus emerging on depletion

Article Abstract:

There is concern among oil suppliers and engine manufacturers abut base number depletion, following the introduction of an anti-polishing ring to cut bore polishing. The opinions of engine manufacturers on the subject are mixed. Some believe that the additive pack can be topped up when consumption is a bit higher, whilst others are of the view that it is less expensive to consume little oil and change the charge now and again. The general consensus is that the best level of consumption is the lowest amount that can be used without a change of charge.

Spanish specialists look for exports

Article Abstract:

Spanish ship designers are making extensive use of Sener's new Foran shipbuilding computer simulation module. The strong interest in the Foran system has encouraged Sener to market its simulation module overseas. The Foran system allows designers and shipowners to 'fly around' the planned vessel. This unique capability is ideal for spotting potential design flaws and engineering problems.
