Driving and alternatives: older drivers in Michigan

Article Abstract:

A survey was conducted on Michigan drivers and former drivers ages 65 and above to collect the information about their experience with alternatives to driving and plans for longer drive. The study reveals that most older adults owned at least one automobile and that was their primary mode of transportation.

Improving older driver knowledge and self-awareness through self-assessment: the driving decisions workbook

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to check whether the driving decisions workbook really help the older drivers while driving and will increase the self-awareness. The result from the study suggests using the workbook as a first tier assessment instrument and education tool for the older drivers.

Adolescent driver risk taking and driver education: evidence of a mobility bias in public policymaking

Article Abstract:

The study conducted to examine the risk taking and driver education in relation to an apparent mobility bias in policymaking is described. It is argued that road traffic injury is the leading cause of death among adolescents in high-income countries.
