Exxonmobile improves cylinder oil feed rates

Article Abstract:

The introduction of the new system by the Exxonmobile marine lubricants for cutting down the expenses of cylinder oil feed rates in low speed diesel engines is discussed. This progarm is introduced to make it easier for ship operators to respond to recommendations from engine manufacturers to adjust feed rates.

Feed rate optimization update

The objective of the lube oil Feed Rate Optimization Program initiated by ExxonMobil is to determine an optimum balance between cylinder oil cost and the cost of wear-related cylinder maintenance. The first in-service results of the initiative are described.
