TecKnow.babble

Article Abstract:

Answers to technical questions are presented. One reader questions the URL that the TecKnow.babble Web page generates when users registers and will discover that unique URLs are done intentionally to keep track of a specific user; Web masters can later customize pages for users. Another questions where to find a multimedia authoring tool for simple business presentations that can later be E-mailed. The question requests it be done on a 486 with 4MB of RAM and total file compression below 1.4MB, and that the player be no larger than the 600K found in popular packages such as Director; the short answer is that no such product exists, though the Studio M product from Gold Disk for $49.95 comes with a 300K player. Users who have questions about the MSCDEX.EXE file can go to a DOS prompt and type HELP MSCDEX.
