Third party ship management firms are rendering a broad range of technical services to the shipbuilding industry to take advantage of the burgeoning international market. These firms, which include Dobson Fleet Management and Univan Ship Management, handle the technical operations of a number of vessels owned by a holding company. Under this setup, each vessel is owned by a separate entity.

Mayflower stretches her sea legs

Article Abstract:

The Mayflower Resolution landed at the Duchy Wharf in Falmouth Harbor in UK on 10 February 2004, after completing a 11,000 nautical mile voyage from the build yard in China. The Mayflower Resolution which was designed by Knud E. Hanseen is a specialised vessel to install wind turbines offshore.
