Liberian registry ID programme

Article Abstract:

The Liberian Registry programme, which got under way in 2003, claims that the adoption of world's first seafarers' biometric identification card by International Labour Organisation (ILO) would exceed the requirements of ILO. Scott Bergeron, the chief operating officer of the Liberian International Ship and Corporate Registry suggested that, with this move Liberia would successfully anticipate the needs of international shipping community.
