Order revival for a contracting industry
Article Abstract:
The financial incentives from the government will help the ailing Dutch Shipyards, which has shown tremendous resolve in being able to compete with other European yards in spite of low subsidy level. The government may also benefit from improved shipbuilding industry through tax revenues and employment opportunities but the reform is at a slow pace causing worry to the shipbuilding industry.

Conoship floats two new coastal designs

Consortium Conoship International BV, Netherlands based ship building association, developed the design concept for 3,750 TDW Multi Purpose Container (MPC) vessels. The specifications of the design are presented.
