Recidivism study of New Mexico's convicted DWI offenders 2000-2003

Article Abstract:

Convicted driving-while-intoxicated (DWI) offenders screening and tracking in New Mexico is demonstrated, achievement of data analysis through linkage of databases for convicted DWI offenders in New Mexico and recidivism rates of convicted DWI offenders is described. It concludes that data linkage provides more complete information on convicted DWI offenders than the individual datasets and survival analysis can provide mean time to a DWI arrest following a conviction.

Road safety effects of roundabouts in Flanders

Article Abstract:

The effect on road safety of 95 roundabouts that were built in Flanders between 1994 and 1999 is analyzed. The results reveals that the effect on the number and severity of road accidents adjusted for the trend and regression to the mean is significant, but varies considerably in accordance with the speed limit regime on the intersection.
