Tour/Charter operators find silver linings in downturn

Article Abstract:

Tour and charter operators have modified their business strategies by involving in new markets and improving customer services, to compensate the downturn and economic insecurity experienced by the industry after the September 11, 2001 attacks. The tactics like targeting specific clientele, telemarketing and short-notice reservations adopted by various tour and charter operators to endure and expand their business are discussed.
