Transit GM beats the odds in sprawling Las Vegas

Jacob Snow, general manager of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) feels that the new contract with ATC/Vancom for providing fixed route service and Laidlaw Transit for paratransit operations, was very much needed considering the rapid traffic growth, and will possibly prove to be a cure for the problem.

The reliability of transit agencies' investments in listings in local phone books is analyzed. Experiences of many transit agencies prove that not many transit customers really use their phone book or yellow pages for public transit information.
