Database: understanding new technology can enhance effectiveness in management

Article Abstract:

Technology has become firmly established in health clubs used for sophisticated entry systems and computer drive exercise equipment. However technology has developed so quickly that many existing and potential users do not understand what can be achieved. Understanding the mature market

Article Abstract:

Many people do not wish to acknowledge that they are growing older, and still seek stimulating, sociable leisure activities, according to speakers at the recent 'When You're 64' conference, organised by the South East Regional Leisure Group. The over-55s often have a high level of disposable income, and should be regarded by leisure operators as valuable customers. People in this age group are very discerning, and should be offered a wide range of activities.

Membership details

Article Abstract:

Leisure centres and health clubs can derive considerable benefits from purchasing computer hardware and software for managing their activities. However, it can be difficult to select exactly the right products, as there is such a wide range available. It is important to seek advice from similar facilities, to carefully assess each system's features and to obtain a comprehensive demonstration from each supplier.
