Destination evaluation: The role of previous travel experience and trip characteristics

Article Abstract:

Canonical correlation analysis is used to examine the relationship between two sets of variables, first set composed of five variables referred to as previous travel experience and trip characteristics and the second set consists of criterion variables referred to as destination evaluation variables, that can be used in evaluating a travel destination. Results reveal that a portion of the variance in destination evaluation can be attributed to previous travel experience and trip characteristics.
