Leisure industry employees should be suitably dressed so as to reflect the image of the facility as a whole. Uniforms should be protective, comfortable and functional while also making staff easily identifiable for customers. Clothing can communicate a message to customers to reflect the approachability of staff members. Some leisure managers are keen to promote an image of professionalism through staff uniforms, particularly in private fitness and leisure clubs.
