Article Abstract:

Leisure operators planning to invest in synthetic sports surfaces should consider whether the site has good land drainage, the activities to be provided for and the cost. Grants may be available, possibly from the National Lottery, the Sports Council or local authorities. Most surfaces available meet required player safety standards and there is a choice of density and length of fibres.
