Article Abstract:

In July 1992 the Foundation for Sport and the Arts provided grants worth 17.5 million pounds sterling. Lewes District Council will receive 400,000 pounds. The National Cricket Association will receive 350,000 pounds. Yarborough Leisure Centre will receive 175,000 pounds. The Northern Ballet Theatre has been allocated 150,000 pounds. The World Corporate Games and Shakespeare Globe trust will each receive 100,000 pounds. Riding for the Disabled will receive 50,000 pounds. The Pools Promoters' Association contribibutes to the Foundations trust fund.

Caravan park

Article Abstract:

The 25 million pounds sterling Fantasy Island themed indoor resort, based at a large caravan park at Ingoldmells, on the Lincolnshire coast, is set to be the largest tourist development to open in the UK in 1995. It will centre on a huge glass pyramid situated very close to the sea front, where there will be a Jules Verne under-sea fantasy. Other attractions will include a water rollercoaster, a themed food court and a synthetic mountain.

Bridging time

Article Abstract:

The Bridge House Estates Trust is developing a new tourist attraction at Tower Bridge, London, England. The latest technological innovations including simulators and animatronics will be used to portray the history and design of the bridge. The development, costing 3.75 million pounds sterling, aims to enhance the Engine Room Museum opened in 1982.
