Sport politics

Article Abstract:

The UK Department of Education and Science's 'Review of Sport' has recommended few changes to sport's organisation. It has failed to establish a controlling authority and simpler bureaucratic structure. It recommends replacing the Sports Council with a Sports Council for England and a UK Sports Commission. Governing bodies will retain control of individual sports. The Minister of Sport will not assume overall responsibility.
