Norman Doeges

Article Abstract:

Norman Doerges, former Executive Vice-President of Disneyland, has taken up the role of President at Leavesden Developements Ltd of the UK. Leavesden is in the planning stages of developing a 200 million pounds sterling entertainment and business complex near London. The site will also house a major studio tour and residential buildings. Doerges believes the new site will be an integrated development, offering entertainment, leisure and office facilities to enable people to work and enjoy their leisure time. The UK has not taken full advantage of the theme park market, according to Doerges.

Article Abstract:

Up to 460,000 visitors per year are expected to visit London-based leisure attraction Vinopolis - City of Wine when it is opened in June 1999. The 22 million pound sterling wine attraction is aimed at adults who want to expand their knowledge on the subject of wine, such as production techniques and origins. Each admission will cost 10 pound sterling, with five wine tasting opportunities available included in the price. All the main wine growing and producing regions of the world are represented at Vinopolis, which has many sponsors from the wine industry.

Article Abstract:

Burford Holdings is to redevelop London's Trocadero into the UK's leading indoor entertainment venue. Planning permission has been granted by Westminster City Council for a Segaworld indoor theme park, estimated to cost 45 million pounds sterling. Segworld is expected to open in July 1996 and it will take up 100,000 sq ft of space. Six rides are planned for the park. Plans for the Trocadero are discussed further.
