Peace breaks out in Samui warrior's world

Article Abstract:

It is far more important to be happy than to have a great deal of money, according to Thai hotel owner Khun Akorn. He formerly owned the Imperial Group of Hotels, which covered 10 properties and a total of 3,000 rooms. However, a battle with cancer made him realise that he was missing out on the real pleasures of life. He now owns only two small hotels with a total of 90 rooms. He spends seven months of the year at the Tongsai Bay Cottages and Hotel on Samui Islands, with the remaining three months being spent travelling around the world.

Other popular hotels are Rex Halcyon, Sandals Antigua and the Pineapple Beach Club.

River is still at heart of Bangkok

Article Abstract:

The Chao Phraya River in Bangkok continues to be a tourist attraction as it is prestigious and can be used to transfer to other sightseeing destinations. There are many riverfront properties, although some question the wisdom of planning properties on the river. Properties include the Royal Garden Riverside Hotel which has seen increases in average room rate and occupancy, the Montein River View, orginally built by the Ramada Renaissance group, and Accor's new Hotel Sofitel Riverside Bangkok.
