Robert Key

Article Abstract:

Robert Key has been Department of National Heritage Under-Secretary since April, 1992. He is enthusiastic about his involvement in a new state department for leisure. The department will coordinate policies while devolving responsibility to local officials. Interdepartmental consultation will be a significant operational feature. Key welcomes the extra finance anticipated from the National Lottery in 1994. He is also enthusiastic about government support for Manchester's olympic bid. Publicity for British achievements should be a function of the department.
