Article Abstract:

Six Rainforest Cafe restaurants have opened in the US since 1994 and an outlet is to open in the Trocadero in London. The concept was developed by Steven Schussler and he has linked with Glendola Leisure in London, part of The Foundation Group. The concept was first backed by Lyle Berman, chair of Grand Casinos, and he is currently chair and CEO or the organisation, with Schussler having control over development and marketing. The retail characters arising from the Rainforest are part of a merchandise operation covering up to 5,000 sq ft.
