Teamwork

Article Abstract:

Teamwork can improve performance through the effective functioning of individuals within a group. An effective team requires an administrator, a problem solver, a producer and an integrator. It usually evolves after the initial problems have been resolved and roles and goals have been established. Teams may fail without effective leadership, good communication or lack of outcome. Traditional hierarchical management structures may hinder teamwork.

Feedback: lines of communication should be open and functional within an organisation

Article Abstract:

Information is considered significant in management processes such as planning, control and operation, and if feedback is to be worthwhile, managers must know exactly what they are trying to achieve, and this in turn must be communicated to the team. Many organisations have less than adequate internal communications and this has led some to introduce new communication methods, such as charters which set communication standards.
