The Great Lakes' great outdoors

Article Abstract:

The five Great Lakes form the largest body of fresh water on earth, and have many attractions for tourists at all times of the year. Michigan, which is at the heart of the Great Lakes region, is particularly worth visiting. The state has 5,000 km of shoreline, and has great ethnic and cultural diversity. It has extensive areas of forest, along with 58,000 km of rivers and streams.

High-tech in Buffalo as Cleveland goes for rock

Article Abstract:

The Cleveland Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which is due to open in Sep 1995, is expected to attracted a further 1 million visitors to the Lake Erie region. Cleveland will also benefit from the Great Lakes Science Centre, which will open in early 1996. New tourist attractions are also being built in Buffalo, the second large Lake Erie city.
