The sky's the limit for Korean Air

Article Abstract:

Korean Air Lines Company Ltd. is expanding its fleet of 112 aircraft, with 18 Boeing 777s being delivered in 1997/98. The airline will invest $10 billion to double its fleet by 2005. South Korea could become the leading centre for travellers in the Pacific-Asia region via the new international airport in Inchon, near Seoul, South Korea, which is due for completion in 1999, says Korean Air President Yang Ho Cho. The new airport will double Korean Air's capacity in Seoul. South Korea's hosting of the soccer World Cup in 2002 will also be a major boost for the country's travel industry, says Cho.
