It has the potential to increase visitor numbers, but is now facing stronger competition, especially for business from families. It is now seeking to develop through partnerships with businesses, thus boosting customer awareness.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg's new Apollo Chariot rollercoaster took three years to plan and has taken over one million visitors since its opening in March 1999. Designer Walter Bolliger says he aimed to combine high speed, a high uplift, extended levitation time and a big drop.
