The EC has issued a directive on safety equipment worn by workers such as goggles, breathing masks and protection against chemical risks. If the equipment meets the EC standard it has to carry a CE mark, and include information on its use and manufacture. Some companies and institutions like the British Railways Board and the Institute of Occupational Medicine will be approved to assess the quality of protective work wear.

A group of game hunters in Alaska is reviving the ancient sport of falconry, one of the favorite past times of the royalty in medieval Europe. The sport uses birds of prey to hunt for other birds.
