Article Abstract:

Frequent fliers are over doubts about whether the increased security measures that have been in place since September 2001 are really worth the effort, since many of the equipments used to screen baggage and passengers are decades old. Though, complaints are being heard about l ax security at many airports but those in charge state that while there may be few instances of neglect, the overall picture is encouraging and with the use of better technology, air travel will be safer than ever before.

Global airport security

Article Abstract:

The security arrangement systems at the airports in different countries vary due to the lack of international security standards. The role of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as an enforcement power and the objections to the second-generation Computer-Assisted Passenger Prescreening System (CAPPS II) proposed by the US are discussed.
